  • Download: Prusa Core One build volume template for Autodesk Fusion

    Download .f3d file

As I work on design, I am finding that it is valuable to be able to easily confirm that my project in Autodesk Fusion will be printable in my FFF/FDM printer’s actual build volume.

In this file, I have created the planes and axes necessary to visualize the Prusa Core One build volume (270mm x 250mm x 220mm) inside an Autodesk Fusion project. The planes are named and the planes and axes are all grouped in the browser to enable easily turning them on or off as necessary to better evaluate your project’s dimensions.

After downloading the file, there are a couple of ways that you could use it.

    Starting Template
    1) Open the CoreOneBuildVolume.f3d file containing the build volume
    2) Use ‘Save As‘ to create your new project file

    Adding to an Existing Project
Note: This requires that you have opened the .f3d file containing the build volume constructors at least once, so that it is visible in your Autodesk Fusion Data Panel.

    1) Open the project you are working on.
    2) Open the Autodesk Fusion Data Panel
    3) Locate the “CoreOneBuildVolume” file
    4) Right Click on the “CoreOneBuildVolume” file to access the context menu
    5) Choose “Insert Into Current Design

Let me know if you find this useful! Thanks!
